Assimilation Coordinator

This role will focus on moving people from first time guests, inconsistent attenders, and the non-connected, towards a more committed and deep engagement with Jesus and his church. This position will look to accomplish this through a tiered system of focused gatherings, membership classes, and follow up trainings and connections. Execution and appropriation of resources to these tasks will be delegated by the Assimilation
Coordinator for response by those assimilation teams and lay leaders within the church body. A background screening is required of all candidates offered employment.

Hours: 25 hrs/week

Compensation: Based on experience

Responsibilities:
Build:
- Direct and oversee the assimilation process at SRC, including, First Time Guests,
  Discover SRC, New Members, and Baptism courses and groups.
- Develop and implement process for tracking and caring for new members post New
  Members Presentation.
- Recruit and oversee teams of teachers and facilitators for assimilation programs.
  Communicate:
- Connect with first time guests weekly to welcome and connect.
- Run point on using SRC staff and key ministry volunteers to assist with assimilation
  gatherings and events.
- Maintain communication and connection with New Members post new members process
  for follow up care and connection.
Track:
- Record and maintain Arena notes for attenders and members in assimilation process.
  Network:
- Work with key ministry staff leaders to help move new attenders and members into
  service opportunities at SRC.
- Coordinate with men’s and women’s ministry leaders to help move new attenders and
  members into LifeGroups.
- Work in partnership with Communications Team for all assimilation gatherings and
  events.
Team:
- Work under the supervision of the Pastor of Community & Care.
- Serve in partnership with the Pastoral Team, Leadership Team, Session, and Staff of
  Spanish River Church.
